CSU Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement (2026–2027)
The CSU Trustees’ Awards recognize students who have overcome adversity, demonstrated financial need, and exhibit academic excellence, personal achievement, and community service.
Award: $7,000 campus award, with potential to advance to systemwide awards up to $20,000.

Unless otherwise noted, students in self-support programs are not eligible.

Review the Scholarships list (Recommended Scholarships are based on your student record and General Application).

Check eligibility and submit your application before each opportunity’s deadline.

Check back often! New opportunities are added throughout the year.
Important Information
- Application materials, including letters of recommendation, are due by the deadline noted within each opportunity.(Incomplete applications will not be considered.)
- All scholarships close at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on the noted deadline date.
Programs and Departments on this Site
- Matador Scholarship Program (MSP): Offers a broad range of merit- and need-based scholarship opportunities administered through the Financial Aid & Scholarship Department to recognize academic achievement and student engagement across the university.
- Northridge Scholarship Program (NSP): A university-wide initiative for undergraduate students that includes the GE Honors Rising Scholar Award, University Scholarship, and Presidential Scholarship, supporting academic excellence and leadership among Matadors.
- Departmental Scholarships: Administered through individual colleges and academic departments, these awards recognize outstanding achievement and commitment within specific disciplines and fields of study.
If you are receiving financial aid (including loans), your financial aid award(s) may be adjusted if you receive a scholarship that exceeds your total aid limit. Speak with a financial aid counselor during walk-in hours for a detailed overview of your individual situation.
