Marketing Department Scholarship

2026–2027 Academic Year Award

The Ruth and Max Lupul Marketing Scholarship provides financial assistance to students majoring in Marketing at CSUN based on scholastic achievement, demonstrated financial need, and a record of exceptional leadership and community service.

The scholarship fund is financed by a bequest from the estate of the late Ruth and Max Lupul. Max Lupul joined CSUN’s Marketing Department as a professor in 1965 and served as department chair for more than twelve years before retiring in 1992. He founded the College’s Small Business Institute, co-founded the Western Marketing Educators’ Association (now MEA), and was later named Professor Emeritus. Ruth Lupul also served the university, teaching Business Communications until 1992 and remaining active in university leadership and arts organizations.
