William J. Tamkin Scholarship Endowment

2026–2027 Academic Year Award

The William J. Tamkin Scholarship awards four $1,000 Scholarships to students majoring in Economics in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be declared as an Economics major.
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Must have sophomore standing or higher during the 2026–2027 academic year (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior).
• Must demonstrate financial need.
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units during the award term.
• Graduating seniors who will not be enrolled during the 2026–2027 academic year are not eligible.

Application Requirements

• Essay (Maximum 750 words): Respond to the following prompt:
  How will this award help you financially achieve your academic goals?
• DPR (Degree Progress Report).
• A letter of recommendation is not required but may be submitted.

Notification and Award Event

Award recipients will be notified via CSUN email in mid-April 2026. The recipient will be recognized at the Nazarian College Scholarship Dinner on April 30, 2026.
