The State University Grant – Cost of Attendance (SUG-COA) Fund provides additional financial assistance to eligible CSUN students who demonstrate financial need beyond their existing financial aid package. This opportunity allows students to request consideration for supplemental funding to help cover costs associated with their education, such as tuition and fees, books, housing, transportation, and other educational expenses included in the Cost of Attendance.

Applications will be reviewed by the Financial Aid & Scholarship Department, and awards will vary based on individual need, available funding, and financial aid eligibility. Awards will be made in consideration of your current financial aid package.

Please note:The review process may take 3-4 weeks from the date of submission. Applicants will be notified via their CSUN email once a decision has been made.

*If you are receiving the Middle Class Scholarship (MCS), your award will be recalculated based on the California Student Aid Commission’s (CSAC) guidelines.
