Noski Family Scholarship

2026-2027 Academic Year Award

Chuck Noski received his B.S. degree in business administration, magna cum laude, and M.S. degree in accountancy from California State University, Northridge. In 2007, he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters by the California State University system.

In 2002, the CSUN Alumni Association honored Dr. Noski as a Distinguished Alumnus, and in 2011 the CSUN Foundation Board of Directors recognized him as an Emeritus Director for life following his many years of service on that board.

Dr. Noski is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Financial Executives International. He was Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation and a member of the Standing Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

In 2006, Dr. Noski was inducted into the inaugural class of the Financial Executives International Hall of Fame and, in 2021 was named to the Accounting Hall of Fame by the American Accounting Association.

Dr. Noski and his wife, Lisa, have been actively involved with CSUN and the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics for many years and have supported a variety of educational and other initiatives, including the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (formerly known as the Valley Performing Arts Center).

They also created the Noski Family Scholarship, which annually grants four accounting students with a financial award towards their tuition.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrolled full-Time as a Pre-Accountancy or Accountancy major in the Department of Accounting during the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
  • Earned a grade of B or higher in ACCT 220 (or its equivalent) and ENG 205 (or its equivalent) and a grade of C or higher in all other business and accounting courses.
  • Have an overall (cumulative) grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
  • Have a FAFSA on file for AY 2026–2027, which will be used to determine financial need for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
  • A citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  • Currently registered for or have completed ACCT 230 or ACCT 350.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student, with a minimum of 12 units each Fall and Spring semester through graduation
  • Two academic letters of reference; either faculty (professor) and/or professional using the myMatador Scholarships portal.
