2026–2027 Academic Year Award

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics scholarships recognize students of excellence, both in terms of life experiences and academic achievement. A single application will be considered for the scholarships listed below.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have declared a Business or Economics major at the time of application and during the award year.
  • Eligible academic levels include: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, and Master’s students.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.2.
  • Undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time, defined as a minimum of 12 units per term.

Application Requirements

  • Unofficial transcript of academic work (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
  • Essay (Maximum 300 words): Submit an essay describing a meaningful life experience (such as an important event, challenge, or difficult decision). Explain what you learned from the experience, how it contributed to your personal growth, and how receiving this scholarship will help you succeed in college.
  • Resume (Maximum two pages, 12-point font, double-spaced): Include:
    • Educational experiences (high school and college)
    • Work experiences (since graduating high school)
    • Life experiences, including volunteer activities, athletics, travel, hobbies, leadership roles, or other significant involvement

Additional Requirement

An award dinner for selected recipients will be held by the College on April 30, 2026.

If you are receiving financial aid (including loans), your financial aid award(s) may be adjusted if you receive a scholarship that exceeds your total aid limit or Cost of Attendance (COA). Speak with a financial aid counselor during walk-in hours for a detailed overview of your individual situation.

Please also explain how the scholarship will help you be successful in college.
