Judge Julian Beck Scholarship (CHHD)


Fall 2025: 2025-2026 Academic Year Award

This scholarship provides financial assistance to students pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in any Health Sciences programs at CSUN. Recipients are based upon demonstration of commitment to professional growth and service, leadership, positive and professional attitude, and (if applicable) outstanding clinical potential.

This scholarship is made possible by a generous contribution from the Judge Julian Beck Health Sciences Endowment established in 1984. It is the intention of the donor to provide financial assistance to an outstanding senior each year.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be an undergraduate student in senior standing at CSUN, graduating at the end of Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 term.
  • Must be a Health Sciences (Health Administration, Public Health, or Radiologic Sciences) major
  • Must have a cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.25 in upper division coursework in the major.
  • Must be enrolled in 3 units or more at CSUN.
  • Request one letter of recommendation via the myMatador Scholarships Portal.
  • Submit a copy of current Degree Progress Report (DPR)
  • If selected, the student must submit a thank you letter to the donor, a headshot and brief bio for the scholarship committee.

  5. Request: A letter of recommendation from a community member (staff member, professor, mentor, counselor, or community leader).
  6. Please upload: A copy of your most recent Degree Progress Report (DPR). GPA in upper division coursework required in the major must be at least 3.25. Overall university GPA may also be taken into consideration.
