RiVera Furumoto Scholarship

Academic Year 2025-2026

The RiVera Furumoto Scholarship is an award created for Graduate students who are currently enrolled in or accepted to the Graduate Program in the Department of Chicana/o Studies.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Who Can Apply: Graduate students enrolled in or accepted to the ChS Master’s Graduate Program.
  • Enrollment: Graduate students must maintain at least 3 units per semester.
  • Academic Standing: Graduate students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Financial Aid Application: Applicants must have a completed FAFSA or California Dream Act Application on file for the upcoming academic year.


Award Amount: Two Scholarships will be awarded, valued at $2,000 each.
