Winnetka Women's Club Scholarship for the hearing-impaired

2025-2026 Academic Year Award

The Winnetka Women’s Club is committed to helping one incoming freshman who is deaf/hard of hearing achieve their highest academic potential by expanding their educational opportunities. Recognizing the importance of succeeding during the first year at CSUN, the Winnetka Women’s Club Program seeks to assist a student who has exceptional qualities pursuing higher education.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be registered with the National Center on Deafness (NCOD).
  • Must be First-Time freshman for the upcoming academic year.
  • Must have a High School GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Must have a FAFSA or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) on file for the upcoming academic year.
  • Must enroll in 12 units or more during the upcoming fall and spring semesters.
    * Any change to your enrollment status resulting in less than full time enrollment for any term within the award year will result in a cancellation of your award.
  • Must submit two letters of recommendation. Must be requested through the my Matador Scholarship system.
  • Must upload a copy of your student resume. A student resume is a detailed record of your personal and educational information. It includes the name of your school/college, coursework, projects (if any) undertaken, and awards. The resume may also contain additional information like your extracurricular activities, volunteer experiences, job experiences (if any), hobbies, etc.

If you are receiving Financial Aid (including loans), your financial aid award(s) may be adjusted if you receive a scholarship amount that exceeds your financial aid total limit. Speak to a financial aid counselor during walk-in hours to get a detailed overview about your individual situation
