MSP CSUN Dreamers Scholarship

2025-2026 Academic Year

At California State University, Northridge we are dedicated to helping students have equal access to higher education by providing resources. The CSUN Dreamers Scholarship offers financial support for undergraduate students not eligible for the full range of federal financial aid typically available to students. This scholarship is open to CSUN undergraduate students who have an approved California Nonresident Tuition Exemption Request (AB 540 Affidavit) on file with the University.

First-time Freshman and First-time Transfer students entering their first semester are highly encouraged to apply!

Award Amounts:

  • Scholarships of $2,500 for the academic year to students enrolled in 12 units or more. Eligible students may receive this award for up to four years.
  • Scholarships of $1,250 for the academic year to students enrolled in 6 to 11 units. Eligible students may receive this award for up to four years.
  • Scholarships of $12,500 for the academic year for students residing in Student Housing. Students enrolled in 12+ units may receive this award one time only.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Open to matriculated CSUN undergraduate students who have a completed Dream Act Application (CADAA) on file for the upcoming academic year. To apply to the CADAA, go to https://dream.csac.ca.gov/landing
  • Must have an approved California Nonresident Tuition Exemption Request (AB 540 Affidavit) on file with the University.

  • Must have a 2.5 GPA and maintain the 2.5 GPA through the fall and spring semesters of the award year.
  • Must enroll in 6 units or more during the Fall and Spring semesters of the upcoming award year.
    *Any change to your enrollment status resulting in less than half-time enrollment for any semester within the award year will result in a cancellation of your award.
  • Students receiving the Student Housing award must be enrolled in at least 12 units or more per semester.
    *Any change to your enrollment status resulting in less than full time enrollment for any semester within the award year will result in a cancellation of your award.

If you receive Financial Aid (including loans), your financial aid award(s) may be adjusted if you receive a scholarship amount that exceeds your financial aid total limit. Speak to a financial aid counselor during walk-in hours to get a detailed overview of your individual situation.
