Nazarian Alumni Chapter Scholarship
2025-2026 Academic Year Award
This Scholarship was established to assist first-generation students, with a drive for community involvement, in academic and professional endeavors.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant must be a Junior, Senior, or Master’s student currently enrolled during the Spring 2025 semester.
- Applicant must be majoring in a department of the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics – all disciplines
- Applicants must be enrolled in at least 9 units for undergraduate students or 6 units for graduate students at the time of application and during the award term.
- Cumulative GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.5 or higher at the time of application and disbursement of funds
- Must have a current FAFSA or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) on file for the upcoming academic year.
- Must submit all required materials (e.g., transcripts, resume, letter of recommendation, essay, etc.).
- All recipients of this award agree to submit a thank you letter in order for award to disburse.
Note: Chapter scholarships can ONLY be awarded to incoming/returning CSUN students. Students who are graduating and DO NOT plan on returning in an academic capacity in the term the funds are received, are NOT ELIGIBLE to receive a scholarship. Must be enrolled Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.

- List your involvement, including approximate dates, with any school based clubs, service organizations, and/or personal volunteer time. If you were unable to be a volunteer, please provide a brief description as to why.
- Please request: A letter of recommendation from a (teacher/professor, advisor, mentor or community leader, staff member) who can attest to the candidate's meritorious performance and personal strengths and assess the nominee’s potential for success
- In approximately 400 words, please explain your career plans, why you chose this career path, and the impact you’d like to make to future CSUN students and alumni. Please note, this portion of the application is weighed the most by the scoring committee.
- Please upload: A copy of your unofficial CSUN transcripts
- Resume Upload: a resume that should include:
a) educational experiences (e.g., high school and college).
b) work experiences (since graduating from high school).
c) life experiences (the major part of your resume should focus on your life experiences, and should describe your involvement in such things as volunteer activates, sports activities, travel experiences, hobbies, etc.).
