Student Veteran CSUN Service Award

Spring 2024: Current 2023-2024 Academic Year Award

The Student Veteran CSUN Service Award is reserved for a graduating CSUN student-veteran who is currently or has formerly been placed on active duty as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces: The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or the Reserve or National Guard, and who has served the CSUN community through their demonstrated effort and commitment of time, ideas and collaboration with other students, faculty and/or staff.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Open to both Undergraduate and Graduate student.
  • Open to ALL majors.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA for both Graduate and Undergraduate applicants.
  • Undergraduate students must enroll in 12 units or more.
  • Graduate students must enroll in 6 units or more.
  • Two letters of recommendation must be requested through the my Matador Scholarship system.
  • Applicant must upload a copy of your student resume. A student resume is a detailed record of your personal and educational information. It includes the name of your school/college, coursework, projects (if any) undertaken, and awards. The resume may also contain additional information like your extracurricular activities, volunteer experiences, job experiences (if any), hobbies, etc.
    Applicants must graduate in Fall 2023, Spring 2024 or Summer 2024 and have an official graduation date on file with Admissions and Records to qualify for this award.
