MSP Priscilla Moyer Scholarship Fund

2024-2025 Academic Year Award

The Priscilla Moyer Scholarship Fund will award one annual $10,000 scholarship to a CSUN undergraduate student.

Priscilla Moyer has had a career focused on technology within the financial services sector. Her most recent role has been senior vice president and chief information officer of Franklin Resources, Inc. As CIO, Ms. Moyer has had global responsibilities for technology for the organization, including all business systems application development and support, data and collaboration platforms, global operations of centralized and local data centers, personal computing platforms, communications infrastructure, and the technology helpdesk. This has included an organization over 1,400 people strong working for her around the world.
Priscilla started at the University during the 1970’s and had an early opportunity to explore different programs and majors during her time at CSUN. Eventually making her way to the College of Business and Economics, where she pursued a degree in Economics and graduating from the University in 1981. As a first generation student who put herself through CSUN, Priscilla understands the challenges facing students today with the cost of higher education and the lack of financial aid available to all students, thus she has created the Priscilla Moyer Scholarship Fund to assist a new generation of matadors.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Open to CSUN undergraduate students.
  • Undergraduate students must have a GPA of at least a 2.8.
  • Have a FAFSA or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) on file for the upcoming academic year..
  • Undergraduate students must enroll in 12 units or more during the Fall & Spring terms of the award year.
    Any change to your eligibility status in any term within the award year will result in a cancellation of your award.
  • Must demonstrate Scholastic Achievement, exceptional leadership, and community service.
  • Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $6,000 or above as determined by your submitted financial aid application.
  • Two letters of recommendation must be requested through the my Matador Scholarship system.
  • Must upload a copy of your student resume. A student resume is a detailed record of your personal and educational information. It includes the name of your school/college, coursework, projects (if any) undertaken, and awards. The resume may also contain additional information like your extracurricular activities, volunteer experiences, job experiences (if any), hobbies, etc.

If you are receiving Financial Aid (including loans), your financial aid award(s) may be adjusted if you receive a scholarship amount that exceeds your financial aid total limit. Speak to a financial aid counselor during walk-in hours to get a detailed overview about your individual situation.
